  Affinity helped me plan my son's service an occasion that was lovely and made the attendees comfortable. The employees were always on hand to answer any questions and give any help requested. I recommend them highly.

  For one of the toughest times in my families life, Affinity Funeral Service, saw us through. From our very first encounter, to our first formal meeting, Josh and Kimberly were with us every step of the way. You pull up outside and you see this large building and you can't help but wonder if the personal touch will be lost, and then you go inside. The warmth and care is in the air and in that very moment I realized my Mother-in-law was in excellent hands.

  My mother chose Affinity Funeral Service before she passed on, as she recently moved to the greater Richmond area from out of state and she wanted a cremation plan that would not put a tremendous financial burden on her children. We helped her search online and found Affinity Funeral Service. Affinity Funeral Service had numerous excellent reviews, but it always makes a person a little leery when choosing such a service via online references alone. Another family member had passed on the year prior in the Richmond area and we were not happy with how that discounted cremation service handled things. With regard to Affinity Funeral Service, however, we could not have been more pleased or relieved. They were extremely professional and patient during the process of my mother choosing a cremation plan and answering all of my questions. When my mother passed on, their staff treated us with the utmost care and compassion. Naturally, it was a very difficult time for us, but they helped us by answering all of our questions, and providing all of the necessary paperwork, including transit permits, cemetery paperwork, and the death certificates, in a very timely fashion. Also, their funeral home in Richmond is a beautifully decorated and peaceful place with pretty floral arrangements and lovely jewel toned furnishings. It far exceeded my expectations when we visited for the first time the day after my mom passed (we had made all the arrangements by email and over the phone because my mom was too sick to travel there and I couldn't leave her at home to do so). The building, chapel, and grounds at Affinity Funeral Service were clean, neat, and first class. Ultimately, it was a very sad and traumatic time when my dear mother passed, but Affinity Funeral Service has helped me so much to find peace knowing that my mom was treated with dignity and compassionately cared for by Affinity Funeral Service both before she passed and after the fact. They went above and beyond our expectations and I will be forever grateful to them. I will wholeheartedly recommend Affinity to all my friends and family in the greater Richmond area who are looking for an outstanding alternative to the high priced funeral homes or some of the subpar discount cremation services out there. A heartfelt thank you from my family and myself to Kimberly, the Mullins family, and all the staff at Affinity Funeral Service!

  AWESOME is an understatement!! The staff is pleasant , thoughtful, and understanding. The compassion they have exceeded our expectations. They really went above and beyond and we didn't feel "nickel and dimed". I have recommended several people who are equally pleased.

  Very nice. We needed a simple cremation for our 91 year old mother. They were very easy to work with and handled everything for us. Reasonably priced with no upsale pressure. Thanks.
