  As a Community Leader in my neighborhood on the Jeff Davis Corridor, I am disappointed that the bus monitors allowed racist behavior toward the kids that I mentor here. I am disappointed that they refused to address the issue when given the chance and that they allowed the white kids still on the bus to continue to call racist names out the windows, make verbal violent threats. They sat there and did nothing. You all need to realize that YOU are outsiders here! Don't come here with your preconceived judgments and ASSUME that you know who we are or what we need! If you want to share the love of Jesus, then do just that because beyond that, we do NOT need you here and we will NOT tolerate our kids being mistreated. Your adult "leaders" are just as guilty as the kids that perpetrated the hateful behavior for not stepping up and squashing the remarks. If you can't do the right thing and stop assuming things about MY neighbors and MY kids....well then stay out of our neighborhood. I will NOT allow your organization or anyone else to come and destroy what we have worked hard to achieve here.
