  I joined Second Pres as a child, then moved away from Richmond as an adult. When I returned I chose Second Pres because of the active, caring, open, diverse community; the excellent leadership from staff and members; the great childcare and Church School classes; and the devotion to making a positive difference in many ways in the Richmond area and across the globe. I can't imagine raising my children in any other church.

  I have been a member of 2d Presbyterian Church for over 25 years, and my partner has been a member for over ten. Second Pres is an open and welcoming congregation in a beautiful historic building in downtown Richmond. It is a church that "walks the walk" with many downtown ministry opportunities. Sunday worship features a traditional service with thoughtful preaching, participation by lay readers who are members of the congregation, and a stellar music program. If you are looking for a warm, friendly place to develop in faith, visit 2d Pres.

  This church is a wonderful historic church in downtown Richmond, with beautiful architecture and a warm and welcoming congregation. It is a growing church with a lot of energy, with strong pastoral and lay leadership. The worship, music, and Christian education programs are outstanding.
  
  In my 10+ years with the church, I have personally found a great inspiration to be the mission programs of the church. Second Presbyterian is active in ministering to local Richmond needs, as well as national and international mission. I have been able to travel with groups from our church to Malawi and Guatemala, where 2nd Presbyterian actively supports partner organizations with their work to improve people's lives.
  
  The members of Second Presbyterian are a congregation committed to answering God's call to make a real difference in our city and world, and a congregation that fully welcoming to all who want to join.
